Peter and Bridgett must have curated those bumper stickers over a lifetime, amazing! I’m sad I missed father John but no way would I have enjoyed it with my tiny gremlin child going berserk šŸ‘¹

I think they truly did! What a fateful folk fest meeting we had. Say hi to Peso! xo

Well written. You captured that outdoor music festival ambiance with your story.

Thank you for reading and for the kind words, Steve!

Because your mother and I are introverts. Also in Sudbury we went to the Legion or the Coulson.

Ref: Shoresy now on Crave.

Pretty sure there are pics of you and Sadie dancing at a Legion party about 29 years ago. It is seared into my memories forever. My heart grew 3 times as large.. ā¤ļø

Thank you Auntie D, it was a fun one. Why didn't we all go to a folk festival decades ago?

I must ask: was there a mothball-scent only section adjacent to the VWs?

Grace McClure's avatar

Ha, you know what, it was omnipresent. But maybe next year, I downright suggest it!

Wonderful story, and thanks for the song list.

Thank you, Jack! I was about to publish without it and thought it would be fun to include a couple less discoverable canadians.

A lot of my inspiration comes from song lyrics and the mood evoked by the music. Always glad to find artists that I didn’t know about. Thanks again

More than happy to share these great musicians!

I really like this, Miss Grace. I don't want to say the beginning has a journalistic feel, mainly because it isn't journalistic. But i could feel the clattering. You occassionally dip into poetry that builds onto and into itself so that in the middle the words grant me a freedom - to join you at the festival, maybe? You're very good at dipping in and out. It can be hard to do. Your flow is lovely.
